In an industry that is forever going through periods of changes to legislation from country to country, it’s hard for the UK and European online casino gaming fans to ever sit still. When something good comes along, it’s not too long before some kind of regulatory challenge comes along. With that in mind, it’s good to see that he Gaming Innovation Group, or GiG, have been given their ISO 27001 certification for the second year running.
This means that they have been given the go-ahead and meet the standards expected for development, infrastructure, network configurations and product operations. Having become a bit of a face in the online casino gaming industry, this will be seen as a positive for an industry that has to try and secure as many long-term faces as it can.
This will mean that the company also now has access to accreditation for their data warehouse – something that they did not even previously. This is a big step forward for the company, showing a clear indication that they are not going anywhere. To have secured their certification for two years in a row, too, is a testament to the progress being made across the board to make iGaming a more consistent place to play.
For many, then, this will be seen as good news amid a period of uncertainty. While we might be losing many of the services we know so well in iGaming, at least we can be sure GiG is going nowhere.
